Macdona, Texas – North Texas’ Second City

Macdona, Texas is an undeveloped community and officially designated as a county unit and census-designated area in Bexar County, Texas. As of the 2021 general census, it had a total population of 559. Macdona lies south of the Union Pacific railroad line in southwest Bexar County just west of Loop 1604. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan statistical area. The communities of Macdona, Blanco, and Santo Domingo make up the county’s three-county urban boundary. More can be found here.

There is only one shopping center – the Holiday Inn on Airport Mesa – which is a well-known chain. The second shopping center, the Macdona Commons shopping center, is also an established one with modern furnishing and fixtures. For restaurants, you can have a good meal and a comfortable dining experience in the many restaurants in the area. You can also take a taxi ride to your hotel if you don’t want to walk down the street or use a taxi.
