Garage Door Repair

Yes, garage door panel replacement is part of our garage door repair services. Garage doors are made of 4-5 individual panels, so we can take the damaged section and replace it with the exact model of door you have. As long as your garage door is still in stock, we can perform a garage door panel replacement!

If your garage door is off track, then we highly recommend turning off your garage door. If you try to operate your door when it is off track, then it can cause damage to other parts of your garage door such as the rollers and the track. When your garage door is off track, it is best to call a professional, to ensure no further damage is done.

If your garage door is reversing when you try to close it, the first thing to do is to check your sensors. Make sure they are clean, and that there is nothing in front of them. If you checked your sensors and the garage door is still not working, then it is most likely a problem with your garage door opener. We recommend scheduling a garage door opener repair if your garage door continues to reverse when you try to close it.

Yes, real wood garage doors can be insulated. Although real wood garage doors already have some of the insulation benefits, adding layers to your real wood garage doors will only increase the R-Value, and make for better temperature and energy efficiency in your garage.

Garage Door Openers

Insulated garage doors are typically heavier than standard garage doors. We recommend going with a chain drive opener or a wall mount opener for insulated garage doors. These types of openers can withstand more weight for a longer period of time, which is why they are the best option for insulated garage doors.

LiftMaster, Craftsman, and Chamberlain openers are all myQ app compatible. To determine if your specific garage door opener is myQ compatible, you can check for a Wifi symbol somewhere on your opener. If your garage door opener from one of these brands has a Wifi symbol, then you can connect to the myQ app and start operating your garage door from your mobile device!

Garage Door Opener Repair

We recommend scheduling garage door opener maintenance at least twice a year. That way, a professional garage door technician can let you know when you will need certain repairs or a replacement. You can also do minor garage door opener maintenance such as cleaning your sensors, lubricating your garage door opener, and checking for any changes in operation.

If the light on your garage door opener is flashing, then your opener is trying to alert you of an issue. The issue could be as simple as a dirty sensor, which would just need to be cleaned, or it could be a malfunction within your opener’s system. If you notice a light flashing on your opener, we suggest you start by cleaning your sensors and trying to restart your opener. If this does not work, then you will need to call a garage door expert to come and find the problem.

There are multiple reasons why your garage door opener remote may not be working. The first thing to do if your garage door remote is not working is to check the batteries. Change the batteries and check functionality again. If this doesn’t work, you may need to reconnect your remote to the opener. It is very common for garage door remotes to disconnect from the opener, and it is simple to reconnect. If your garage door remote is still not working after checking the connection, then you may have a broken garage door opener. You can call us for a garage door opener repair and we will thoroughly check your opener to locate the problem.

Garage Door Springs

When it comes to garage door spring maintenance, the most important thing is lubricating the spring. We recommend lubricating your garage door spring twice a year with garage door lube, not water-based lube. Another great garage door spring maintenance service is tightening the spring. Sometimes, springs can become loose, making it harder for them to maintain the weight of your door. Having a garage door professional tighten your garage door springs will help keep your door functioning properly.

If you notice 3-4” gaps between the coils of your garage door spring, then this is a sign that your garage door spring is unwinding. This means your garage door spring is losing tension, and will soon break. We highly recommend calling your local garage door company for a garage door spring replacement as soon as possible.

The signs that you need a garage door spring replacement are:

  • Your garage door won’t open.
  • Your garage door spring is elongated.
  • Your garage door is heavy to manually open.
  • Your garage door springs have a 3-4” gap between the coils.
  • Your garage door is opening crooked or at an angle.
  • You hear a loud popping noise from your garage
  • When you try to open your garage door, it suddenly falls.
